Imagine living back in the ancient world and aliens landed in your city. It would completely shake the world view of the civilization. For years, depictions of the event would appear in art, literature and myths. If aliens have already landed, we would certainly find evidence of them in artifacts. Well, some alien conspirators believe we already have. In pre-Columbian America, there was a complex civilization known as the Quimbaya.
While digging for nearby artifacts, archaeologists began discovering weird golden figurines that appeared to depict nonexistent animals. Amazingly, these models are aerodynamically sound. That's pretty strange, but it's not the only example of ancient airplanes. A figure discovered in Egypt has similar elements. It seems to depict a cross between a bird and a glider.
Like the Quimbaya figures, this one also showed aerodynamic stability when a scale model was built. It's used in all manner of transportation — from cars to boats to planes.
It's the primary ingredient in our soda cans, windows, and street lights. It's our baseball bats and forks, it's our CPUs and rocket fuel. That's because aluminum is a pretty modern thing. Oh, except for this ancient aluminum we found in Romania. If it was just one hundred percent something , the argument could be made it was naturally formed, but no — down to the design of it, which experts say suggests it was made as part of a complex machine — this item seems to be from Mysterious statues from world civilizations have provided evidence that aliens might have visited Earth in ancient times.
The dogu figurines come from ancient Jomon culture, which thrived in Japan as far back as 14, BC. They developed some of the earliest forms of pottery and made tons of clay projects, including some baffling dogu figurines. The dogu usually depicted animals and people, but many had huge exaggerated eyes, which made them look like spacemen wearing goggles. Nobody can explain why the Jomon made these figures. In the Middle East, other mysterious figures have showed up, created by the Ubaid people in Iraq.
The Jomon figures may look relatively human, but the Ubaid figures do not. Instead, they look like people with lizard heads. Many of these lizardmen statues exist, each one showing a similar creature: body of a man, head of a lizard. Creepily, some figures depict a lizard woman breastfeeding her lizard offspring. What are these figures supposed to represent? Are they some sort of religious image, or something else? UFOs have appeared in dozens of shows, movies , and cartoons over the years, ranging all the way back to the incident at Roswell.
Except, they actually go back even further than that. See, UFOs have been showing up in our art for a long, long time. There are even Native American cave paintings depicting spaceship and what appear to be spacesuit-wearing creatures coming from them. Oh, and African cave paintings. And Australian cave paintings. The resurrection has cosmic implications, with all things reconciled to Christ in the new creation. The planet Earth was chosen by God to be the place of redemption for the whole cosmos, just as the Jewish people were chosen by God among human peoples.
What would the path to God look like for aliens? Perhaps they receive some special revelation from God about the redemption paid by Christ on Earth, or perhaps they know Christ in some other way and refer to him by a different name. It may even be our responsibility as humans to bring the gospel to them across cosmic distances. In this view, Christ was not only incarnate on other planets, but died on those worlds for the sins of alien creatures.
In Scripture we see a God of holiness and self-giving love, and that same character would be at work with aliens in the same way it is with us.
If aliens were invited into relationship with God yet chose to sin, God would show his redemptive love in the same way. These are four very different answers to the question! This is a challenging question that touches the core of our faith, but we need not be discouraged.
There are multiple faithful options which take scripture, theology, and science seriously. While we ponder these, we can stand firm in our knowledge of what God did for us on Earth: Jesus Christ, fully God and fully human, died to redeem human sin. God is free to create however he likes. We can be curious explorers, grounded in the knowledge of God as the loving Creator. We can encourage theologians to ponder the implications of such discoveries before they happen.

Humans stand out at the end of this billion-year-long arrow of creation as choice-making, word-speaking, energy-transforming creatures. We have to find a balance between maintaining the importance of humanity in God's creation without pretending the universe revolves around us. In that vein, defense expert Professor Minnich agreed that in the case of human artifacts and objects, we know the identity and capacities of the human designer, but we do not know any of those attributes for the designer of biological life. In addition, Professor Behe agreed that for the design of human artifacts, we know the designer and its attributes and we have a baseline for human design that does not exist for design of biological systems.

The Incredibly Strange Story of Intelligent Design
as the Darwin Theory suggests. maybe 'God,' maybe aliens. Intelligent Design (ID) theory is a highly speculative philosophical argument, popular in recent years, which holds that rich diversity of species on the planet Earth is best understood as evidence of divine (or alien) intervention in terrestrial life.
Oct 09, · The study, published in The Astronomical Journal in August, posits that intelligent aliens could be taking their time to explore the galaxy, harnessing star systems' movements and orbital shifts. Didier Queloz, a physicist from the University of Cambridge, was named a co-winner of the Nobel prize in physics on Tuesday for his discovery Hard Face Fuck the first exoplanet orbiting a sun-like star. Queloz, who calls himself a "planet hunter," said following the award ceremony that his work has led him to become "absolutely convinced" that humans will detect alien life in the next years.
There's just way too many planets, way too may stars His statement is, in a way, a response to a question that physicist Enrico Fermi first posed to his colleagues over lunch in "Where is everybody? Arguably, Fermi said, in the 4. But scientists have been monitoring radio waves for signs of alien life in the universe for decades, and they haven't found anything or anyone.
Scientists have offered myriad potential answers to Fermi's question, including that aliens are hibernating or deliberating hiding from us. We just haven't seen them recently. Here's how each one addresses the Fermi Paradox. Fette Pornostars and his co-winner of the Nobel prize, Michel Mayor, detected the first ever exoplanet a planet outside our solar system in Named 51 Pegasi b, the Jupiter-like planet is located about 50 light-years away from Earth, in the Pegasus constellation.
In the decades since that discovery, technology that enables astronomers to detect Earth-like planets has improved significantly. That's in part why Queloz is convinced that we will find proof of aliens in the next century, if not sooner.
He suggested that in just 20 years, we may have the equipment needed to detect extraterrestrial life. Earth and Mars fall within our sun's "just right" zone. Last month, scientists announced they'd detected water vapor on an exoplanet that Kepler found for the first time. The potentially habitable planet, named Kb, is a super-Earth that orbits a red dwarf star light-years away.
Inastronomers reported that based on Kepler data, Live Ficken could be up to 40 billion planets comparable in size to Earth that exist within these favorable "Goldilocks zones. Another orbiting telescope, the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite TESS is now scouting the sky for alien worlds.
The equation is made up of seven variables that, Jaime Pressly Playboy multiplied together, yield a calculation of the possibility that humanity might someday hear from an intelligent alien civilization one that has achieved the ability to transmit radio signals that we can detect on Earth.
The problem is that we don't know the value of many of the Drake equation variables with any degree of certainty. Scientists have a good handle on the first three: the rate of star formation, the number of those stars with planets, and the number of those planets within the stars' Goldilocks zone. But the rest are still a mystery. Astrophysicist Michael Hart explored this question formally in a paper ; he argued that there had been plenty of time for intelligent life to colonize the Milky Way in the Since nobody on Earth had heard anything, Hart concluded, there must be no other advanced civilizations in our galaxy.
So it's possible that aliens don't use radio waves as a means to communicate. They could be reaching out using a technology that we don't know about yet. Walsh compared the situation to one in which modern-humans would try to chat with a caveman on a cell phone we're the cavemen in this analogy. One answer to the Fermi Paradox, he says, could be called "The Great Indifference" — perhaps aliens just don't care what a sub-intelligent race has to say. Frank Drake Miriam Lahnstein Nackt out the first deliberate interstellar radio message on November 16, — seconds of a two-tone sound were beamed toward the star system Messier 13 or M13 in the Hercules constellation.
Encoded in the message were the atomic numbers of basic Earth elements, the numbers 1 to 10, and a graphic of our solar system to indicate where the message originated from.
But M13 is roughly 21, light-years away, according to SETIso Drake's message will take about the same number of years to get there. Then it would take any similar return signal the Intelligent Design Aliens amount of time to get back to us.
Hawking told the Times of London: "I imagine they might exist in massive ships, having used up all the resources from their home planet. Such advanced aliens would perhaps become Intelligent Design Aliens, looking to conquer and colonize whatever planets they can reach. In "End Times," Walsh puts forward a hypothesis in this vein: Perhaps Earth is Intelligent Design Aliens treated like a zoo and humans are a remote group of indigenous galactic dwellers that are being intentionally left undisturbed.
The Hollywood blockbuster "The Day The Earth Stood Still" explores such a theory. In the Intelligent Design Aliens, an alien spaceship lands in Washington, DC to deliver a message: live peacefully or be destroyed as a danger to other planets. Walsh explores the idea that it may just be hard to reach us way out here, especially if other intelligent civilizations have, like us, not yet figured out an efficient way to travel between star systems.
If aliens were traveling at one-tenth the speed of light, it would take them 10 million years to cross the entire Milky Bilqe. That's less than 0. As philosopher Nick Bostrom has explained, this concept suggests that life on an Earth-like planet has to achieve several "evolutionary transitions or steps" before it can communicate with civilizations in other star systems.
But an obstacle or barrier — a " Great Filter ," as it's called in this line of thinking — makes it impossible for an intelligent species to progress through all of those steps before collapsing. The study put forth four scenarios that a civilization could follow as it develops. One of those pathways leads to sustainable existence. But in the other three, civilizations overuse resources and collapse or die off as a result. So a possible answer to the Fermi Paradoxthe study authors posited, is that environmental transformation whether that involves using up necessary resources or irreversibly changing a climate inevitably Intelligent Design Aliens civilizations from surviving long enough to travel to distant stars.
Walsh calls these clues "necrosignatures. Stern posited that some habitable Amateur Sybian Tumblr liquid water is located under the surface, in the planets' interior. That appears to be the case for Saturn's moon Enceladus. We wouldn't be able to hear their communication. They wouldn't maybe even know that there was a universe out there to communicate with. The study, published in The Astronomical Journal in August, posits that intelligent aliens could be taking their time to explore the galaxy, harnessing star systems' movements and orbital shifts to make star-hopping easier.
The study authors suggested that aliens might wait for stars to move closer to one another before spreading across the galaxyand that other civilizations could Fishnet Footjob already been here and left no evidence of their visit. In an interview with the Nobel prize press office, he said that the detection of the first exoplanet merely served as "the trigger" for humanity's renewed hunt for alien life in the cosmos.

HOMEPAGE Subscribe Subscribe. Aylin Woodward. The Milky Way galaxy has billions of planets that could potentially host life. Yet despite scientists' efforts to monitor for and occasionally signal to extraterrestrials, we have not found any evidence that aliens exist.
A co-winner of this year's Nobel prize in physics said he "can't believe we are the only living entity in the universe," and that he's "absolutely convinced" we Intelligent Design Aliens detect alien life within years. When Fermi first asked his famous question, no Earth-like planets outside our own solar system had been confirmed to exist. Today, powerful space telescopes are changing our understanding of the cosmos. But the chances that our telescopes would coincidentally be pointed at the exact right part of space at the right time to detect signs of extraterrestrial civilization are infinitesimal.
SETI's monitoring system is predicated on the idea that aliens are trying to message us — we just need to hear it. Astrophysicist Frank Drake created an equation innow known as the Drake Equation, that offers a way to calculate an estimated number of technologically advanced civilizations in the Milky Way. The simplest answer Titten Abgebunden the Fermi Paradox, perhaps, is that Earth holds the only intelligent life in the universe.
Another possibility is that aliens want to talk to us but can't. Or maybe our radio messages just haven't reached anyone yet. Bot all scientists thought sending messages into space was a good idea.
Aliens could also be deliberately hiding from us. Aliens could simply be content to leave us alone until we become too greedy Sarah Michelle Gellar Helen Shivers pose a threat to the greater universe.
Or Skyler Luv Bangbros extraterrestrials are just hibernating, Walsh suggests.
Another hypothesis is that we're living in the "galactic sticks," on the outskirts of where intelligent life is located in the Milky Way. But that answer to the Fermi Paradox has a problem: The Milky Way is old. Walsh argues that, given enough time, an intelligent civilization should have been able to find us by now, even if they were traveling slowly.
But perhaps a technologically advanced civilization just can't last long enough to be able to travel through the galaxy for millions of years. Some scientists have argued that intelligent civilizations similar to ours could have gone extinct because of the same dangers that threaten humanity on Earth.
Planetary scientist Alan Stern, meanwhile, thinks it's possible that — unlike humans on Earth — aliens live in the interior of their respective planets, which is why we've yet to find signs of life.
